Baseball is full of steroids......who do you believe, Roger Clemens or Brian MacNamee? Hey, here's another question: Who the fuck cares? Baseball has done exactly what it wanted to do. It has given us the big fish (Clemens) and the big story so that we get distracted from the real issue: hundreds of baseball players are using illegal performance enhancing substances. The dimwitted drive-time radio hosts of WFAN and ESPN took the bait hook, line and sinker. They ate this sordid tale up and yapped it up for days on end. But what will really happen? Nothing. The reality is that the fans don't care whether or not players use steroids. Fans will remain fans. The Yankess will still draw around 4 million. Players will continue to use these substances with little or no consequences. Fans will still watch the games. People will still buy millions worth of their favorite players' uniforms, team caps, etc.
MacNamee got the drugs from the Mets clubhouse guy, Radomski. So, you mean to tell me that the Mets clubhouse guy procured the drugs, but no Mets used the stuff? Ridiculous. We all know there are players on EVERY team using this stuff. Until baseball makes the penalty so harsh that players stand to lose everything, they will continue to use steroids. Right now, players have no reason to stop using the drugs. Just do the math; how many guys are using, and how many have been caught? How many have been punished? While we all feel good about ourselves by pointing the finger at Roger Clemens and saying what a disgrace he is, remember that guys like him play on every major league team. And they will continue to do so as long as the incentive exists. Baseball is full of shit.
